Old...Older People and Facebook

I have no problem with the older generation getting tech savvy and joining social networking sites...Facebook in particular...but where do you draw the line as far as adding goes? I am starting to get friend requests from older family members and even my former high school teachers and it puts me in an awkward situation. Umm...lets see I use foul language, I update my status while intoxicated as often as possible, and my pictures that I have up suggest that I am one who enjoys a good night of drinking. While non of this is a surprise to anyone, just out of respect....you know? Not something that I want older relatives gossiping about. Ahh lost my train of thought!!!! My mom has a Facebook and we agreed that we didn't care to be each others friend. Good deal. I feel bad but ultimately family wise, if we don't sit at the same table during holidays...(yes I am still at the "kids table") then I am going to have to ignore...it is just weird and there is a generation gap and yeah. God why couldn't the old folk just have joined MySpace?!?!?!
