Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks

So I have been wanting to try these face masks for a while now. They come in a pretty big variety and are only $1.00 at ULTA. I went the other day and they were having a sale on them so I picked up 6. I got peel off ones and some that are like a giant wipee that is soaked in serum and it has little holes for your eyes and nose and you just let it soak on your face. Anyways each mask serves a different purpose, smells different, even has a different consistency and is geared for different "emotions" I guess (to relax, for stress, tranquility, etc.) So today I tried my first one.

What it says on the back of package:
Pure pomegranate, passion flower, raspberry, grape, cranberry and vitamin E are anti-oxidants that help protect skin, while pores get a deep clean clean peel-off!
Directions:
Basically apply to cleansed skin with finger tips, avoiding eye/lip area. Wait till it dries (package said 10-20 minutes but for me it was 20+). Peel off and gently wash off any dried on bits. Use weekly.

Ok so I open the package and find a plum colored gel. I was a little thrown off because the mask on the package has a opaque lilac almost mud looking mask on it. Anyways, when I put it on it felt sooo good! It was very cooling. After I had the entire thing on, it instructed me to RELAX for 10-20 minutes or until it was dry. About 30 seconds into my relaxation my eyes began to water...bad. The smell was intense! It wasn't bad, it was just very strong....it smelled exactly like all the fruit listed above. I had to then take my relaxation to under the fan because
a. It cooled my face and felt good.
b. It made my eyes stop watering.
c. I was in a time crunch and needed the mask to dry quick.
So as I was "cooling" under the fan I noticed that the cooling had turned into a tingling and was rapidly morphing into a burning. I looked in the mirror and I was RED! It was the mask but still! Now logically you would think that I would just wash this off of my face if it burned, well this stuff was rather messy. After applying it I tried washing it off my hands and it was such a pain. It was like when you have a booger stuck to your finger and you are trying to flick it and it just sticks there....don't act like you don't know what I am talking about! OK so it took slightly longer than 20 minutes for it to dry. Peeling it off was easy.

Verdict:
After I peeled the mask off...no lie my skin was glowing!!!!!! Granted it was only for about 15 minutes, but still it was kind of cool, and for $1.00....awesome. As of now I love the masks. Will I buy the passion fruit one specifically again? That depends on how it ranks against the others....I don't know if the burn is worth it. I will review all the masks and and decide then.
