Stuck in My Head: Good vs. Evil

I have two songs stuck in my head...like bad habit stuck. I will get the embarrassing part out of the way so I can tuck my tail in between my legs and move on. Let me begin with, I hate today's rap "music". It is annoying, tacky and just bugs the shit out of me. Anyways I guess karma has come back to bite me in the ass for making fun of the BET Awards the other night (which if you didn't catch my sarcasm in the other blog post I did NOT watch) and now I now have a tasteless, tacky rap "song" stuck the fuck in my head. It is a song by the name of Ice Cream Paint Job (What the fuck does that even mean?) and it is by a young man named Dorrough. I had to Google all of this because I had no information about this song other than the chorus. I am so embarrassed. Something about the very beginning where he is like "Yeah buddy, rolling like a big shot, blah blah blah....I am just like "HEY, WASSUP!!!" So yeah this is the song.





I know! It is ridic! Whatever I'll be over it in a week (hopefully) and balance will restore itself.

NOW....onto the good stuff. The other day I was loading the pod with albums that I knew I really liked and haven't heard in a while. One of them was the self-titled album for the Violent Femmes...you know the one with Blister in the Sun. Anyways as great and reminiscent of the 90's as that song is that album has some other really great songs. So the other day I had the pod on shuffle and one of those other really great songs came on.... Good Feeling.

It has been a very long time since I have heard that song and at that time I never really listened to it, I just thought it was pretty and assumed it was Gordon Gano singing to heroin. This time I just heard it through a different point of view. I have had this song on repeat since.
