10 Peas In A Pod

So much like other networking websites such as face/space there are usually bulletins and such that start and begin a whole chain of either surveys or whatnot within a network of friends. Anyways I have found that it is no different here on Blogspot with people who follow each other's blogs. Anyways it is something new so I want to do some of them...and I am. This one I am going to call 10 Peas In A Pod because I am not feeling creative. It is basically where you put your ipod on shuffle and post the first 10 songs that come up along with a short description on why you have that song, what it reminds you of, etc. Most people do it about once a month. Seems like fun, so here is mine.

  1. I'm Not An Addict - K's Choice ::: Wow. I love this song. Both good and bad memories. "It's not a habit, it's cool I feel alive. If you don't have it your on the other side. I'm not an addict baby, thats a lie." A great song to smoke a cigarette to after doing something bad.
  2. Paul Revere - Beastie Boys ::: Um hello...Great song to play when everyone has a good buzz at a party because everyone knows the first few lines and then all you hear is slurring. Probably my favorite Beastie song.
  3. Warwick Avenue - Duffy ::: Very pretty song. Indeed I hate the song "Mercy" and pretty much every other track on Rockferry, however I dig this song. It is pretty, but you still get that hell hath no fury like a woman scored vibe.
  4. Shut Up And Let Me Go - The Ting Tings ::: I love this song. The Ting Tings are an artsy fartsy version of The White Stripes, with the only comparison being that there is only 2 members a guy and a girl. Anyways dig the music, dig the song.
  5. Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie ::: This reminds me of high school, which is weird because the song came out like in 98. Anyways it was I remember freshmen year there was a crowd that threw parties that I hung out with and this song was always on rotation. Good times.
  6. Cold Hearted Snake - Paula Abdul ::: You know what I love more that this song? The music video!!!! Cold Hearted Snake is one of the prime examples of a good 90's music video when it comes to wardrobe and dance moves.
  7. Sleepwalking Past Hope - H.I.M. ::: This song is off of the Venus Doom album, which I love. I can listen to that start to finish six times in a row. Though it is not my favorite track on the album it is still a damn good one. Ville Valo has one of the sexiest voices I have ever heard.
  8. Sorry - Maria Mena ::: I discovered this song when I was getting out of a relationship and I cried my eyes out. At the time I felt like she wrote it about me and him, I swear. I listen to it now and I smile. Time does heal all wounds. Still a painfully beautiful song.
  9. Ciega, Sordamuda - Shakira ::: My favorite Shakira song. Yes I love Shakira....when she sings in spanish. Her old stuff is incredible. It is crossover musicians like Shakira that make me wish that everyone could understand spanish, just so they could see what an incredible artist someone really is, and that ideas do get lost in translation.
  10. If This Is It - Huey Lewis and The News ::: Umm who doesn't love Huey Lewis???....And the News, sorry....Seriously could you listen to this and be pissed off? Don't think so.
