Well you know I have an opinion about all things media. And this really pissed me off....I knew they were doing a re-make of the movie
The Last House on The Left or at least trying to get it off the ground. I never heard much about its production or who was going to be in it or anything. I guess I had hoped that the idea would just be canned. Well a few days ago I saw the trailer for the 2009 version and my worst fear was confirmed. The movie had been made and it was pretty much going to blow. Just from the trailer I could tell that the storyline had been changed. I hate when they re-make classics. You will never get another hit with a 70's horror movie and let me tell you why.....The shock level. Those movies became a hit because they pushed the envelope for their time. In the 70's....The Last House on The Left was a batshit crazy flick and rightfully so I mean it looked like a freaking snuff film sho

t by a pedophile named Clause with his antique movie machine that he found in his pee-paws basement. Now with all the things going on in the world today you would think nothing shocks us nowadays right? True. But do you see that in film? At least in movies that are in theaters? You can't get away with the same shit today that you could in the 70's, 80's and even early 90's in regards to film. I mean in the original there is a scene where the mother of the victim gives one of the killers a blow job and then bites his wiener off and spits it into a near by lake. (Did I mention that I own this movie?) ha Anyways, I highly doubt that scene will have made it to the 2009 version. An embarassing watered down version if anything. I'm sure there is a young chap directo

r/producer/screenwriter whatever that could come full force and give this movie a facelift that it deserves, but in reality it would get slapped with a big ol NC-17 (if they are lucky) and that = no $ at the box office. I wish Wes Craven would have put down his freakin peyote pipe for a minute and told these hollywood hounds to fuck off when they approached him about a remake. I don't know if it was his decision to say yay or bite me but I'm sure he could have pulled some weight. Ok I'm done.
